The Packers’ latest injury blow leaves Justin Fields in a fantastic position to ruin Aaron Rodgers’ trip to Chicago.
The aaron rodgers’ favorite targets is a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers that will be playing in Chicago on Sunday. Justin Fields has been injured and is now out of the game, leaving Rodgers with less than stellar options at wide receiver.
Aaron Rodgers has a 20-5 record against the Chicago Bears in his career, but he’ll have to work hard to get victory No. 21. Not only does the reigning MVP have to contend with a defense that has done a fantastic job shutting down rival offenses, but he also has to deal with playing for a Green Bay Packers squad that isn’t exactly known for its ability to keep opponents out of the end zone.
Rodgers’ chances of winning against a team he’s dominated for more than a decade might be jeopardized by personnel issues.
Justin Fields, on the other hand, is in a terrific position to defeat one of the most productive quarterbacks in NFL history thanks to the latest knock to the Packers’ defense.
Under first-year coordinator Joe Barry, Green Bay’s defense has struggled.

Despite changing defensive coordinators, the Packers have struggled to make a significant improvement on defense. In fact, under Joe Barry’s leadership, they’ve suffered a modest reversal.
Green Bay is presently ranked 20th in points allowed (24.4 per game) after ranking 13th in points allowed (23.1 per game) in 2020. While giving up 38 points in a season-opening defeat to the New Orleans Saints skews the statistics, Barry’s unit has clearly fallen short of expectations.
The Packers are 20th in defensive DVOA, a number that analyzes a team’s efficiency, according to Football Outsiders. Given their 17th-place result the previous season, it’s hard not to be concerned about their early-season problems.
Of course, it’s difficult to ignore the Packers’ medical problems. Green Bay has only managed 10 sacks with star outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith restricted to 18 plays due to a back issue that necessitated surgery. Furthermore, without him in the lineup, the front seven has struggled to stop the run.
How awful has it been for the Packers in that department?
Only the Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs are ranked worse in rush DVOA by Football Outsiders.
Green Bay also put All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander on injured reserve in addition to losing Smith. Due to his absence, the team’s lack of depth has been highlighted, forcing Barry to depend on less capable players. And there’s no way to replace Alexander, who is one of the best players in the league at his position.
With the Packers’ latest injury blow, Justin Fields may be able to send Aaron Rodgers home with a defeat.

Rodgers’ luck ran out last week when another of his colleagues was injured. Kevin King, a cornerback, sustained a shoulder injury against the Cincinnati Bengals, putting his Week 6 availability in jeopardy.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur officially ruled King out on Friday, putting Justin Fields in a stronger position to win.
The Packers will meet the Bears without two of their top three corners, as the fifth-year veteran is poised to miss yet another game (King has only played 44 games since arriving as a second-round choice in 2017). As a consequence, Eric Stokes, a first-round pick, and Isaac Yiadom, a late-season trade addition, look poised to start.
Fields now has an opportunity to have a huge day at work thanks to Green Bay’s latest injury blow. Following a performance in which he completed 60% of his throws for 111 yards and one touchdown against a decimated Green Bay defense, he should be able to put up considerably better statistics against a depleted Green Bay defense. The uber-talented youngster offers an intriguing mix of size, arm strength, and agility that begs to be exploited.
Could the Packers provide Matt Nagy with the ideal chance to showcase Fields?
Sure, the Bears’ running back situation is a bit of a disaster. Given the quality of their opponent’s secondary, why not let your young quarterback show off his throwing abilities? Allen Robinson should have the upper hand against whomever is protecting him, and Darnell Mooney can also create plays. Furthermore, because to their stature, tight ends Jimmy Graham and Cole Kmet provide significant matchup issues.
The Bears can beat their division foe if Fields takes care of the football and makes a couple big plays. They do, after all, have a genuine defense, unlike the Packers.
Will the Bears be able to stop their division rival’s four-game winning run on defense?
He believes that having Robert Quinn and Khalil Mack on the same team “could be catastrophic” for an offensive. Two men who must constantly be accounted for.

If Sean Desai’s unit performs like it did a week ago, Rodgers’ latest trip to Chicago might result in a defeat. In a 20-9 win, Chicago’s defense held the Las Vegas Raiders to 259 yards of total offense. It did it only a week after holding the Detroit Lions to 14 points and 351 total yards.
The Bears are now sixth in the league in points allowed and fifth in defensive DVOA ratings, according to Football Outsiders. They have numerous significant players who can make Rodgers’ life tough from a personnel sense. Roquan Smith, an explosive linebacker, has the sideline-to-sideline speed to chase down running back Aaron Jones. Khalil Mack (five sacks, six quarterback hits) and Robert Quinn (4.5 sacks, six QBH) are still high-impact pass rushers despite their age. Meanwhile, Jaylon Johnson, a 2020 second-round choice, is ranked 10th among 110 corners in Pro Football Focus’ grading system.
Remember, the Packers are still without David Bakhtiari, and Elgton Jenkins has been out with an ankle ailment. Going into a contest against a powerful, muscular front seven, their offensive line remains a significant question mark.
The Bears’ ability to disrupt Aaron Rodgers’ timing and Justin Fields’ ability to create plays in the passing game will determine the outcome of this game.
However, given the condition of the Packers’ roster, don’t be shocked if the less experienced QB wins.
