Enad Global 7, formerly known as Enad Corporation, is a multi-media company that helps brands across media, entertainment, and communications. After the company was purchased by Enad Global in February, Daybreak Games CEO Phil Hassey took temporary control of the company while Enad tried to figure out what to do with it. On Monday, Enad global took the plunge and made the announcement that Hassey was no longer in charge of the company, and that Daybreak CEO Ji Ham was set to take over. As for Hassey, the company would not comment on whether or not he was being let go, but he did tweet that he was “excited” about the news.
On his first day on the job as Enad Global 7’s acting CEO, Daybreak CEO Ji Ham made it clear that nothing will be changed at the company. In a series of tweets on February 28, he stated “I’m still the CEO of Daybreak. No changes to the organization’s structure. No issues with the employees. No changes to the content of the company’s operations.”
Enad Global 7’s board of directors has chosen new CEO, Marcin Kacperczyk, a Senior Vice President at IT company Enad Global. As head of Enad Global’s HR department, Kacperczyk is a member of the Enad Global management team and has been with the company for seven years.
It’s just been a year since EG7 Global paid $300 million for Daybreak Game Company, and now the parent company is elevating one of Daybreak’s executives to its own C-suite. The board of directors of EG7 stated that existing CEO (and EG7 co-founder) Robin Flodin would be replaced by Daybreak CEO Ji Ham “effective immediately.”
As EG7 begins its hunt for a new permanent CEO, Ji Ham has taken over as interim CEO. Flodin will remain on for a half-year to assist Ham adjust to his new role, according to EG7. So, why did Ham get the part? During his time as CEO of Daybreak, he managed “substantial development and profitability,” according to the business.
Robin Flodin’s departure was not explained. With his down-to-earth video outreach, he had definitely enhanced the playerbase’s image of Daybreak, but plainly, we don’t know the entire picture.
